Senior Operator Required

The right candidate will have:

• Versatile excavation and machinery operation skills

• Leadership and site supervision experience

• Your W,T,R Licence

• A good work ethic, a positive attitude and a focus on Health & Safety

• The ability to work both independently and in a team

 

Extra points for:

• Proven experience working on a range of different terrain

• Class 2 – Class 5 licences

• Prior experience as a foreman/forewoman or supervisor in civil construction

• Strong leadership and team management skills

 

The Opportunity:
Pryde Contracting is on the lookout for a highly capable Excavator Operator with a broad skill set and 8+ years of experience. This role is based in Wairoa, with projects and job sites based across the region. With multiple weather events over the last few years, including Cyclone Gabrielle, there is a mammoth recovery ahead. This work spans across multiple sectors and areas, so variety is a given. This role would have a direct pathway to Project and Operations Management.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Leading work crews on site and making technical decisions for methods and approaches to execution

• Engaging in a variety of tasks including site preparation, bulk earthworks, roadside retreats and dropout repairs, building retaining walls, rural earthworks and drainage

• Working directly with our clients and customers, ensuring their needs are met with professionalism and expertise.

• Maintaining the highest standards of safety and efficiency in all operations.
