TRUCK DRIVER (MACHINERY TRANSPORT) VACANCY

🚚 About the role

We’re looking for an experienced Truck Driver who can hit the ground running with machinery transport, confidently loading, securing and unloading as well as driving the load around the region.

⛟ Key responsibilities include:

• Transport heavy machinery from one destination to another*

• Competently load and unload machinery on to trailer, and secure it safely to the trailer

• Drive vehicle combinations to destinations in accordance with regulations and company procedures

• Ensure that all documentation required to move with load is available for inspection and that appropriate paperwork accompanies load 

• Maintain records required for compliance with national regulations

• Hook and unhook trailers

• Submit pre-trip inspections and, if required, vehicle defect reports on truck and trailing equipment prior to commencing shift

• Check vehicle maintenance before driving e.g. tyre levels, fuel, oil etc

• Being physically able to perform frequent lifting, pulling, pushing and carrying 

• Accurately record work and loads in daily timesheets

• Adhere to Health & Safety standards of both employer and clients

*Our main transport truck is an automatic Fuso, our back-up truck is a manual Isuzu.

🧰 What you’ll bring

• 5+ years’ experience transporting heavy machinery

• Relevant qualification (ideal but not essential)

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks

• Good communication skills and a team-focused attitude

• Solid understanding of industry H&S requirements

• Physical fitness and comfort working in a hands-on environment

• Class 5 licence
